Micah Kaplan
I was born at a crossroads in Norfolk under an October sky. I excelled at mimicking things at an early age, and learned to primatively play bass in my teen years. I was very quickly overpowered by the funk and spent my formative years faking my way through various Primus, Red Hot Chili Peppers and the Police tunes. By 18 I was involved in my own band, Panama Guru which led to Korduroy which led to Dingus, a experimental noise duo which led to Lost Colony which led to my current situation.
I am never satisfied with one sound, style, cliche or theme so I try to weave a sonic blanket for the more appreciative musical audience at large. It is my hope to continually make music for a diverse world with diverse interests. Oh, and one more thing - a band without a bass is like an actor without a soul.
